COVID-19 and Store Hours

As we work collectively to battle COVID-19, nothing is more important to us at the Beer Store than the health and wellness of our more than 7,000 Beer Store employees across the province and our customers.

The Beer Store has introduced new policies and procedures as we continue to navigate COVID-19.

The Beer Store has implemented mandatory employee and customer face coverings in all our stores and distribution centres, in addition to robust cleaning and public distancing protocols already in place.

Face coverings are mandatory when visiting any of our retail stores or sites across Ontario. If a face covering is not worn, service will be refused. In accordance with The Beer Store Policy and Public Health order, face coverings must be worn by everyone entering our locations or waiting in line outside. From time to time, Beer Store employees at some locations have tested positive for COVID-19. When this happens, the Beer Store works in consultation with each local Public Health Unit to determine next steps. All potentially affected employees will follow public health guidelines for those exposed to a known case of COVID-19 and either symptom monitor, or self-isolate based on circumstances as a precautionary measure.

Our retail store hours of operation can change, and we encourage you to check our website, or mobile app for the most up-to-date hours of operations. Signage will also be posted at retail sites that are impacted, when there are any adjustments to our hours of sale. Our internal teams are working hard to ensure hours are up to date as timely as possible.

If we experience unfortunate temporary closures for an extended period of time due to staffing challenges, we will provide statements in our media centre and hours of sale on our digital channels will be updated appropriately.
