The Beer Store is proud to offer an online service that allows customers to order beer from their desktop or mobile device for pick up from participating locations, or have their beer delivered to their home.

Online Ordering is offered in select Beer Store locations across Ontario. To view participating stores and delivery areas, please visit the locations page.

We are in the process of adding more Beer Store locations with Online Ordering. Stay tuned!

We encourage you to register and get the app, as this is the fastest way to use Online Ordering. Our Beer Store website also allows guest checkout if you don’t wish to register.

We have since moved our Beer Xpress store from beerxpress.ca to thebeerstore.ca to make discovering and finding new products or sale items faster. All you need to do is search your desired brand or product, and add directly to your cart. It’s that easy.

You may order within the same week (Monday to Sunday). For Online Ordering, scheduled pick up orders, Sunday is the last day for pick up.

Only products that are in stock will be available for order. However, if for some reason the product that you ordered is out of stock at the time the order is being prepared, we will notify you via email, along with details of your updated cart.

Yes! When you register and create Beer Store customer account profile, your order history will be stored in your profile; you can re-create a previous order with a single click from your Order History page.

At this time you are not able to edit an order after submitting it. Any changes to an order would require the order to be cancelled and a new order would have to be created. We advise to check and edit the contents of your cart prior to submitting your order.

You can cancel your order at any time before it has been picked up in-store. When logged in to your account, visit your Order History, select the order you wish to cancel and click “Cancel Order”.

We will send you an email notifying you when your order is ready.

The order will be available for pick up at the participating store you selected when placing the order. The store will have a kiosk or signage identifying where to pick up your Online Order purchase.

To give The Beer Store the opportunity to prepare your Online Order, we require a minimum 60 minutes. You will be able to select a pick up window for time frames starting with the first full hour after the 60 minute prep time.

The person who places the order must pick up the order and have their ID and payment card available for verification.

When your order is ready for pick up, we will send you an email. If you have placed a same day order, you can pick it up any time after you receive the email until the store closes. If you don’t pick up the order before the store closes your order will be cancelled and your credit card will not be charged.

A staff member is always able to assist in carrying out an order to a vehicle upon request.

If you want to return your empties, please use our regular returns counter.

Yes, you would need to show government-issued photo identification (such as a driver’s license, passport or photo card) for pick up as part of the Beer Store’s responsible sales program. We also need to verify the card used for the purchase to confirm that the order was placed correctly.

If you don’t pick up your order, your order will be cancelled and your credit card will not be charged. You will also receive an email notifying you that your order has been cancelled.

Curbside Pick-up provides customers with a contactless experience that adheres to the strictest physical distancing. Customers shop online and have their orders delivered to their vehicle at a designated curbside parking spot.

Curbside pick-up timeslots are available every day starting 30 minutes after store opening until 30 minutes before the store closes in select locations across Ontario.

No. There are no additional costs for Curbside Pick-up.

At this time, we are cannot accept empty container returns through curbside. If you want to return your empties, please use our regular returns counter inside the store.

Customers must have ready to present:

  • Photo ID card
  • The credit card used to place online order
  • Order Number (this can be found on the confirmation email)
  • Please make sure that your trunk has adequate space for store staff to place your order

Two hours before your selected pick-up time, you will receive a reminder email confirming your pick-up. Please follow the steps in this email to receive your curbside pick-up order.

Please park at the designated parking spot for curbside pick-up and follow the instructions on the sign.

The person who places the order must pick up the order and have their ID and payment card available for verification.

Your order will be held for 30 minutes during your scheduled Curbside pick-up timeslot.

If you don’t pick up your order your order will be automatically cancelled. You will receive an email notifying you that your order has been cancelled.

You can cancel your order at any time before it has been picked up in-store. When logged in to your account, visit your Order History, select the order you wish to cancel and click “Cancel Order”.

Home Delivery allows you to browse and shop for beer online, and request delivery to your residence by a Liquor Delivery Service (LDS) licenced by the AGCO. All orders are completed on the Beer Store website or app and can be delivered on the same day, except for high traffic periods such as holidays, inclement weather, or similar circumstances. Customers pay for their orders at their door when the order is received.

Delivery timeslots are offered based on the availability of delivery service. You can expect a delivery typically any time the time periods offered, but peak times, holidays, and weather may affect your personal delivery time. Please ensure that you are home with valid ID and your credit card until your beer is delivered. Our drivers will attempt to keep in contact with you if there are any issues that may cause a delay in the delivery time.

Delivery personnel will require you to be present with a valid piece of ID that matches the name on the order information. Product cannot be delivered if the ID does not match to the order and if you have not completed payment. Product must be delivered personally and cannot be left at the doorstep or mailbox. If the customer is not present at the time of delivery, the driver will return the order to the store for cancellation. From the store, your order will be cancelled.

We require all individuals to present valid photo ID matching the order name to the delivery driver. The delivery personnel are trained to deliver only to those of legal age (19+ in Ontario) that match the name on the order. No individual may accept or pay for an order on behalf of another, and your product will not be left on the doorstep. If we cannot confirm the age of majority for a recipient and their ID does not match the name on the order, the delivery driver will take the order back to our store, cancel it, and refund the order.

Your credit card is charged at the door by the delivery driver.

No, you can cancel your order up from the time you place your online order until the driver has received the order from the store to deliver it to your location. We try to alert the delivery personnel mid route, but some drivers may not be able to receive the alert and may still arrive at your door. You must take possession of the order and if you would like to return it, you will need to take the order back to the store to The Beer Store for a full refund.

All delivery drivers are licensed by the AGCO to deliver alcohol in Ontario.

You don’t need to tip your delivery driver, though you are free to do so if you wish. The Beer Store order page allows for tips as a part of your order. You can also tip in cash at the door. 100% of tips are given to the driver.

Empties are not included as part of your order. You are free to offer your driver your empties as a tip. Drivers are not obligated to accept empties, and, if they agree, may only be able to accept some of your empty containers. The delivery drivers will not pay you for your empties; to receive your container deposit refund, please return your empties to The Beer Store.

A major credit card is required to place an order. We accept Visa (including Visa Debit), Mastercard and American Express.

There is no additional cost to pick up your Online Order in-store. A delivery fee applies to Home Delivery orders.

Yes, the minimum order amount is $20.00 and a maximum of $500.00.

For pick up orders, credit card information is taken when the order is placed, but your credit card will not be charged until the order is picked up in-store. For Home Delivery orders, your credit card will be charged at the door by the driver when you receive your delivery.

Yes, it’s the fastest way to place an order but it is optional.

No, you are not required to save credit card information, however the option is there for quick future purchases.

No, the order is simply cancelled and you will receive an email notifying you of the cancellation.
