Hi Haiden. Cans less than or equal to 1 litre (1000ml) are 10 cents. You will receive 10 cents back for a 710ml can. For more information, view our Bag It Back Program page: http://www.thebeerstore.ca/about-us/environmental-leadership/bag-it-back-odrp

Dear "Beer Store" guy: Can you answer me a question? Why would a small keg (20000 ml) be $115 when that equals a little less than 2 and a half cases of 24 - when I can get 2 and a half cases of 24 for like $90? Can you help me make sense of this? Thanks!

Aug 09 - 12:08

Prices vary by brand but when you subtract the deposit of $6 for 2 1/2 cases and $20 for the keg the prices come more in line. The keg could still be more/ml due to the expense of the container itself.

I have to agree with JB, this beer used to be incredibly refreshing and crisp, I've had it recently and it has a really funky aftertaste, kinda like rancid cabbage. Avoid this stuff, go for some old Mil or Carling.

Why can't I just buy beer in the convenience / grocery store here as in most countries? And why is a case of Blue for example about $8 more expensive in Ontario than in Quebec?

It cost more due to taxes Be careful what you wish for. It won't get much cheaper in the corner store and there will be much less selection. Making less competion, making less reason to lower prices.

Haiden's question:"why are cans so much more expensive then bottles when you get more money back for bottles? ive always wondered this" TBS Answer: "Haiden, cans typically have 355ml of beer where bottles have 341ml. Deposit value is $0.10 for each container. Cheers!" The real answer Haiden is that the Government of Ontario charges an extra recycling tax on cans because they can't be "re-used"/re-filled" like a bottle can. Even though cans can be 100% recycled.
