THE BEER STORE DISTRIBUTION

The Beer Store operates one of the most effective and proficient supply chains in the world. This is a benefit not only to the brewers, but ultimately to our licensees and home consumers.

To ensure effective distribution throughout Ontario, we have eight strategically located Distribution Centres in Ottawa, Brampton, Stoney Creek, Whitby, Thunder Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury and London, in addition to eight cross docks across the province.

These sites, combined with the addition of modern business system and processes, have resulted in an overall improvement in customer service for brewers, licensees, retail partners and other customers.

Our licensee call centre is located at the London Distribution Centre and accepts orders 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and handles more than 450,000 calls a year. Every year, the Distribution Centres ship more than 24 million cases of beer and 500,000 kegs across the province.

An important benefit of The Beer Store's streamlined logistics operations has been the ability to improve service to licensed establishments. Changes to the distribution system have resulted in improvements in routing and delivery schedules, and some renovated retail stores now include dedicated licensee service areas to speed up order taking and pickups.

The Beer Store packaged these changes and other improvements with the introduction of Service On Tap, a program of licensee services. Service on Tap offers more delivery choices, dedicated in-store pick-up service and added payment options.
