CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING
One key aspect to achieving our goal of becoming 'the ultimate source for beer' is educating people about the great selection of beer available at The Beer Store.
To support that effort, The Beer Store operates a comprehensive staff training program to ensure employees can provide customers with information about beer types, product attributes, beer storage and preparation techniques, and beer and food pairings.
This employee training was recognized with a Retail Employee Development award, presented by the Retail Council of Canada at their 2005 Excellence in Retailing Awards.
To win, The Beer Store had to show that investing time, money and resources to empower employees, not only enhanced customers’ shopping experience but positively affected sales volume.
The Beer Store's Employee Retail Education Program won over programs from the LCBO, Harry Rosen Inc. and the Hudson's Bay Company.
