Keg Storage & Handling

Draught Beer should be treated as a food product whether it is or isn’t pasteurized. It’s important to store and handle it properly.

A few tips to help you maintain the highest quality and freshness:

  • Store in a refrigerated walk-in cooler or a refrigerated cabinet.
  • Stock rotation ensures fresh product. First keg in, first keg out is a good rule of thumb.
  • Kegs should be stored separately from food products. If your cooler is used to refrigerate draught and food products, do not store food near or on kegs.
  • Keg storage and dispensing areas should be kept clean to minimize any possibility of contaminating your draught products.
